Growing Up To Be Godly Fathers

One of the things I've been thinking alot about is- how do young men grow up to be godly fathers? Well, if you're watching other godly men and you are listening to their wise advice you'll know to tell your children the right thing when you grow up (and if you read the Bible!).

You must try to do the right thing all the time, then you'll be a good example to others and you'll also be learning yourself how to teach your kids to do right things when they're young.

Make sure you take good care of your things and be dependable in everything you do so then when you get older, other people will be able to rely on you.

Learn to treat women with respect and love, that way you will be able to treat your wife in the very same manner.

And try to read your Bible everyday so that you can learn all the wisdom you can before you become a father.

In Luke 2:41-49, Jesus is a good example in being in the business of men when he's just a boy (12 years old). . .

"Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom.

After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him.

After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.

When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."
"Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?""
